Ms. Shirley Ann Peebles, age 78, of Louisville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 20, 2017 surrounded by her family. Ms. Peebles was born in Louisville, KY on May 15, 1938 to the late James L. Blair and Lula Marie Blair. She was a member of St. John Paul Parish.
Among those who preceded her in death include, her husband, Buddy R. Peebles Sr. and several siblings.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Buddy R. Peebles Jr. (Jan), Janet M. Mathews, Nathan A. Peebles (Becky), Michael D. Peebles (Betty), Mary M. Jeffries (Dan) and Shelia R. Kasey (John); 16 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren; siblings, Melva Blair, Norma Pridmore, Judy Brown (James), Mary Doss, Earl Blair, Ronnie Blair, David Blair and Buddy Blair; a host of nieces and nephews; her dear friend who cared for her, Sherrie Phelps- Snow (Kenny) and a host of other family and friends who will miss her greatly.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, April 24, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church (11501 Maple Way, Louisville) with burial at Brookland Cemetery to follow. Friends and family may pay their respects on Sunday from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Jude Children's Research.
