Phillip O'Dell Shelden, age 67, of South Louisville, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017. Mr. Shelden was born September 18, 1949 in Louisville, to Jennings and Anna Shelden. Mr. Shelden was a retired landscaper for the Executive West Inn and a member of Nichiren Shoshu of America. He loved art and drawing, and plants. Mr. Shelden also loved to ride his bicycle. Mr. Shelden is preceded in death by his father, Jennings O. Shelden; and a brother, Roger D. Shelden.
Mr. Shelden leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Anna B. Shelden; his daughter, Sarah Voiles (Gabriel), his son, Ian Shelden (Tracy); four grandchildren, Kalei Fowler (Frankie), Kylia Voiles, Baeli Shelden, and Baedin Shelden; a sister, Brenda Shelden Parker (Willie); two brothers, Larry Shelden (Carol) and Keith Shelden (Tina); several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and a host of other family and friends

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Mt. Holly Cemetery in Fairdale, Kentucky. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10:30am until 12:15 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.). Expressions of sympathy may be made to your favorite charity.
