“I love you uncle Marcus ”
1 of 1 | Posted by: Buddy Stanley - family

It is with great sadness the family of Marcus Anthony Stanley, of Fairdale, KY, announces his passing. On July 1, 2017 Marcus was called home to be with the Lord his Savior. Born July 18, 1971 in Frankfort, Kentucky, he was the son of Buddy Stanley and Bowley Stanley. Marcus was predeceased by his father.

Marcus believed in his children and his family and was proud of his heritage. He was a food connoisseur and always invited anyone to share a meal he had prepared. He never met a stranger and never lacked for conversation. It is no wonder Marcus was a vintage car hobbyist and passionate about driving a sweet ride down an open road, as he was behind a wheel of a car with his father and uncles before he was of legal age. He was a music enthusiast and could clear a dance floor when he danced, wheel chair and all. He had a will and strength compared to none to endure life's challenges and never failed to amaze.

Marcus will be lovingly remembered by his bride of nearly 20 years, Marlena Stanley; his sons; Marcus Anthony Babe Stanley, Jr., Jacob Shannon Boogie Stanley and Austin Paul Matthew Stanley. He will also be remembered by his mother Bowley, two brothers; Johnny Boy (Sherry), Shannon B. (Rose), sister; Cherise (Shane); nieces and nephews; Diamond Brooke, Charity Jade, Johnny Storm, Robbie Shane, Bowley, Ricky Blue, Mariah, Buddy, Hannah, Joseph, Andrea, Andrew and Danielle Brooke; grandniece, Kathleen Stanley and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins.

A Celebration of Marcus' life will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 6, 2017 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Tuesday, July 4, from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm, on Wednesday, July 5, from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
When Marcus is remembered it won't be for the date he was born or the date he left this earth but for the passion for life he had and how he loved while he was here on Earth.
