Mr. Larry "Joe" Adcox, 58, of Hillview returned to his Heavenly Father Thursday, August 3, 2017. Mr. Adcox was born July 20, 1959 in San Antonio Texas to the late Laural and William Gatlin. He retired from construction and home remodeling and was a member of Maryville Baptist Church. Mr. Adcox loved to be outdoors and loved fishing. Of all the things he loved, he loved his family and being with his grandchildren. Among those who preceded him in death include his parents Laural and William Gatlin, and his father-in-law, Kennedy Jeffries. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 24 years, Vicki Adcox; daughters, Shannon Armour (Eric), Cassidy McClure (Branden), and Kristian Adams (Michael); brother, Richard Adcox (Laura); sisters, Cheryl Fraley (Bobby), and Julie Joiner (Jimmy); grandchildren, Dakota, Kaitlynn, Konnor, Daton, Kameron, Paisley, and Karlee; sisters-in-law, Cyndi Suttle (Rusty) and Christy Kelley (Travis); numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, August 7, 2017, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd., Shepherdsville, Ky.) with burial in Brookland Cemetery to follow. Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and on Monday from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
