Mr. Kenneth "Kenny" Edward Schoenbachler, age 58, of Shepherdsville, died peacefully at his home on Saturday, August 26, 2017. Mr. Schoenbachler graduated from Durrett High School. He was a retired press manager for his family's printing company and a former member of Resurrection Catholic Church. He had a lifelong love of music; he played the guitar and sang beautifully. He loved nature and enjoyed spending time with his many dogs. He had a very generous and loving soul and will be greatly missed.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his significant other, Kathy Minyard; stepdaughter, Katina Morgan; grandchildren, Derek and Brittany; his parents, Charles and Patricia Schoenbachler; brother, Steven Schoenbachler; his twin sister, Karen Mattingly; sisters, Pamela Brummitt (Jake), Brenda Schreck (Ralph) and Rebecca Vest (Patrick) and a host of other dear family and friends, especially his cousins, Daniel and Timothy Dickerson, whom he considered as brothers.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 31, 2017 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Wednesday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Thursday from 12:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
