Mrs. Karen Denise Cobble Kerney, 59, of Louisville, returned to her Heavenly Father Saturday, July 8, 2017. Mrs. Kerney was a selfless, devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed vacations with her family and spending time at the lake. Mrs. Kerney always had fun playing the lottery, bingo and poker at the casino. Among those who preceded her in death include her mother, Geraldine Cummins; mother-in-law, Connie Green; brother, Richard Noe and cousin, Bud Sauer. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Doug Kerney; children, Eric Kerney, Cassie Hall (Stephen) and Nicholas Kerney (Emily); grandchildren, Justin Kerney, Zach Stevenson, Jamison Forrest, Khloe Kerney, Gabriel Kerney and Hunter Hall; father, Bobby Ernst; siblings, Tina Cobble (Shirley) and William McClain; daughter-in-law, Jatanya Kerney; uncle, Ronnie Cummins and cousins, Belinda and Betty Lou.
Funeral service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with cremation to follow. Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 3 pm until 8 pm and Wednesday from 1 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.
