Joseph A. "Jerry" Corum, 68, of Lawrenceburg formerly of Brooks, returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, May 1, 2017. Mr. Corum retired as a Police Officer from Bullitt County Sheriff's Department, then began working at the Bullitt County Jail where he retired due to health problems. He was a lifetime member of the FOP Bullitt County. Jerry was also a member of Brooks Baptist Church. Among those that preceded him in death include his parents, Avery "Pete" Corum and Nellie Corum; brother, Donnie Corum; and sister, Vicki Prather. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Sheryl Corum; son, Steve Corum; daughters, Sheryl Adamson, Melinda DeSpain; brother, Henry "Sonnie" Corum (Rita); sisters, Judi Corum, Debbie Hoskins; Amber Crutcher whom he thought of as a daughter; furry friend, Eva; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 13, 2017 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood, & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd). Friends may pay their respects on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 11:00am until time of service. www.subfuneralhome.com
