Mr. Gerald Howard "Jerry" Mull, age 76, of Hillview returned to his Heavenly Father on September 14, 2017. Mr. Mull was born in Staunton, Illinois on September 13, 1941 to the late Howard and Anna Mull. He was a lifelong resident of Springfield, Illinois until moving to Louisville. He was a truck driver for many years and recently retired from Kentucky Container after 22 years of service. Mr. Mull was a diehard U of L fan. He loved to watch football on TV and enjoyed watching and talking college football with his son-in-law, Bruce. Among those that preceded him in death include his parents; and sister, Donna Mull. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 33 years, Patricia Mull; daughter of whom he cherished, Margaret DeBacher (Bruce) of Miami, FL and Scottsdale, AZ; son, Jerry Mull of Springfield, MO; stepdaughter, Rebecca Waite (Roger); 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and longtime friend, Linda Pryor. He will be remembered by all for his contagious smile. Mr. Mull was loved by everyone that had the pleasure of meeting him. He will be greatly missed.
Funeral service will be conducted at noon on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Monday from 1-8 pm and Tuesday from 10 am until time of service at the funeral home. The family would like to express special thanks to Hosparus and the volunteers.
