Mr. Frank George Lauyans Sr., 82, of Bardstown, returned to his Heavenly Father Wednesday, April 12, 2017.

Mr. Lauyans was born on February 22, 1935 in Louisville, Kentucky. He retired from General Electric and Appliance Park as a facilities engineer after 32 years of service. Mr. Lauyans was a member of Saint Thomas Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Theodore Lauyans and Aileen Ansert Delashmit.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 64 years, Mary Anne Lauyans; children, Frank Lauyans Jr. (Loretta), Larry Lauyans, Patricia Lauyans, Judy Berry (Les), and Ronda Peck (Mark); sister, Darlene Keaveney; 10 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends

Funeral service will be held Friday, April 14, 2017 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial in St. Michael Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home.www.subfuneralhome.com
