Dolores L. "Mams" Ballard, 86, of Pioneer Village returned to her Heavenly Father Thursday, May 25, 2017.
Mrs. Ballard was born September 17, 1930 in Louisville and was a 1948 graduate of Mercy Academy. She worked for the Awards Center for 20 years and St. Ignatius Catholic Church lunchroom for 17 years. Mrs. Ballard was a former member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and a current member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
Among those who preceded her in death include her parents, Joseph A. and Leona Brutscher Moch; three brothers and two sisters.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 59 years, Charles "Paps"
Ballard; children, Paula Ballback (Steve), Charles Ballard (Mary) and Michele Kelien (Steve); grandchildren, Kirk Brentzel (Dana), Michael Ballback, Brittany, Kaitlyn, Joseph and Daniel Ballard, Carlos Cortes and Stacy Vanover (Corey); great grandchildren, Jada and Sonny Brentzel and a host of other family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 11501 Maple Way, Louisville, KY with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Monday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.).
