Danny Thomas Bishop, age 58, of Okolona, returned to his Heavenly Father on May 7, 2017. Mr. Bishop was born November 26, 1958 in Louisville, to the late James and Alvildia "Billie" Bishop. Mr. Bishop was a painter for over 40 years and worked for Howell and Howell. He was a big jokester and loved to make people laugh. He always had a joke ready at any time. Mr. Bishop was a big U of L fan and lived in a house divided which made life very interesting. He has a kind heart and would help anyone in need. He loved classic rock and roll music, and loved to sing. Mr. Bishop was a big family man, he loved his wife, Sharon, and his family first and foremost. He loved his daughter dearly; their bond was strong, and will endure forever. He was very close to his brother-in-law, Joe; they were more like brothers than in-laws.

Mr. Bishop is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Jim Bishop; and a sister, Rosa Hamilton.

Mr. Bishop leaves to cherish his memory loving his wife of 29 years, Sharon Bishop; his daughter, Ashley Nicole Bishop; his sons, Benjamin Allgeier (Christiana), and Nicholas Alligeier (Jasmine); two grandchildren, Savviana and Scarlett; nephews, Brian Bishop and family, and Jay Johnson and family; niece, Kim Johnson and family, and Maryann and Phillip Winchell; 1 grand-dog Huckle and a host of other family and friends.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday May 11, 2017, at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Mt. Holly Cemetery in Fairdale, Kentucky. Family and friends may pay their respects from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, and on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
