Mr. Billy Ray Slone, Jr., 49, of Louisville, East End, returned to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, August 9, 2017. Mr. Slone was born on October 6, 1967 in Louisville, KY. He worked at Manning Equipment in production. Mr. Slone loved watching his favorite sport teams and was a fan of Peyton Manning. He had a great love of children and enjoying playing with them.
Among those who preceded him in death include, his daughter, Kelsey Slone: his sister, Sherrie Slone; and niece; Britney Sisk.
He leaves to cherish his memory his parents; Billy Slone, Sr. and Patricia (Varney) Slone; sisters, Sylvia (Tony) Roberts, Claudia (Shawn) Smith; niece, Chancey (Michael) Rogers; nephews, Austin Gravel, Slone Roberts, Bella Smith and great niece, Allie Rogers.
Funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Monday, August 14, 2017 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, KY 40165) with interment in Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday, August 13, 2017, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Monday until time of service at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Healing Place.
