Mr. James R. Breckenridge, Sr., age 54, of South Louisville returned to his Heavenly Father on August 8, 2017. Mr. Breckenridge was a retired postal worker and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 10 years, Amanda Reece Breckenridge; children, Janae, James, Jr., Jakesha, Jason, Jaquay, Isaiah and Makayla; 10 beloved grandchildren; mother, Betty Jean Fant Breckenridge; and 6 siblings.
Funeral service will be conducted at 5 pm on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Kentucky Veterans Central Cemetery in Radcliff, KY on Wednesday at 11 am. Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 3 pm until time of service at the funeral home. Obituary on www.subfuneralhome.com

Mandy, I'm sorry we never got to know James any better than what we did but what I saw in him was a kind loving husband and family man. I wish we had got to know him better. Our hearts go out to you. I can only imagine what you are going through. We love you so much and hate that you are having to go through this. We are here for you any time you need us. You have a loving family who will do anything in the world for you do take advantage of all of us. Love Papaw and Mamaw.
