Mr. Kenneth Russell, age 84, of Brooks returned to his Heavenly Father on April 9, 2017. Mr. Russell was a self-employed electrical contractor with K.R. Electric, Inc. and a Baptist by faith. Among those that preceded him in death include his parents, Elmo and Leora Perkins Russell; sister, Genevieve Haycraft; and brother, Truman Russell. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 63 years, Marianna Marcum Russell; children, Angela Lynn Russell, Vanessa Cox (Chris), Kenny Russell (Christine) and Clint Russell; grandchildren, Shaun, Bryce and Christa; great-grandchildren, Gavyn and Brantlee; sister, Frances Carman; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted at noon on Friday, April 14, 2017 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 1-8 pm and Friday from 10 am until time of service at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation. My respects and heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Kenneth Russell.

He was my a long-term landlord and friend for 15+ years. He was always a fair and kind person to me as well as his wonderful wife, Marianna, was.

I am truly sorry to hear of his passing and wish well to all in his life.
