I worked with Steve for twenty-two years we were like family. We went through many a crisis together. What a great person and nurse he was. Such a positive person. He was kind to everyone. He will be missed by all. God bless his family and may they find peace in knowing that we all have an angel watching over us. Rest in peace my little brother you were loved by all who knew you.

Steve was a man that never let you feel unvalued being at U of L - regardless if you was the janitor to a MD he showed each of us care, concern, & respect . The patients he helped he provided remarkable care & poured his loving heart into them too.

I'll forever remember his smile each time I came upon the floor he worked. Always asking those if they needed help or if we was doing alright.

Steve was such an incredible nurse and one of my very favorite nurses to work with. He was kind to everyone he came in contact with and was always looking out for others. He had an infectious smile and personality. I wish there were more people like him in the world. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. A light went out at U of L Hospital Tuesday. My prayers go out to his entire family. RIP my friend and know that you definitely made your mark in the world.
